Our Philosophy

Bred with intention. Placed with care.

Meet the Breeder

Ark Angel Labradors and Noah’s Ark School for Dogs are owned and run by master trainer Jen Van Schoick in Jackson, New Jersey. Jen breeds English Labrador Retrievers in chocolate, black, and yellow, and shows her dogs in AKC conformation alongside obedience and fieldwork. The program currently holds three AKC Championships, with two more dogs close to finishing their titles.

Every breeding dog is certified through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) — with OFA preliminaries or full certification completed before any pairing is planned — and every puppy is placed with a written hip and eye guarantee.

We are dedicated to producing the true English Labrador: sound in structure, steady in temperament, and raised for family life. Puppies are home-raised in our whelping room with heated floors for their comfort, and handled and socialized daily from birth. Parents are OFA certified for hips, heart, and elbows.

Every litter at Ark Angel Labradors begins with a question: is this pairing good for the breed, and good for the families who will welcome these puppies home? We breed in small numbers, prioritize structure and temperament true to the English Labrador standard, and complete every health clearance available before a single pairing is planned.

We stay involved for the life of the dog. Every Ark Angel puppy leaves with a health guarantee, a starter education in the foundations we teach at Noah’s Ark School for Dogs, and an open line back to us — always.

Our Training Academy

Noah’s Ark School for Dogs

Alongside our breeding program, we run Noah’s Ark School for Dogs — a training academy offering puppy foundations, obedience, and manners work for family companions of every breed, not only ours. Every Ark Angel puppy goes home already started on this path.

WESTMINSTER KC

Recognition

A record we’re quietly proud of.

Our breeding program has been honored with an Award of Merit at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, and our work has been featured in coverage by NBC News. We don’t lead with it — the dogs, and the families who’ve welcomed them home, do the talking.
